Constable Dustin Rust tells KETK, even though they were asked by a citizen to investigate, he says the case is just getting too big and there is too much potential for a conflict of interest. Rust tells KETK, they were investigating 2 officials in Whitehouse for “financial irregularities and other undisclosed charges.”
According to a release from the constable’s office, it was a Whitehouse volunteer firefighter that suspected financial discrepancies at the department. The firefighter then requested the Constable’s office investigate. And while looking into general fuel records from the city, the office said they also began to investigate Chief Waller for allegedly putting fuel into his personal vehicle from city pumps while he was allegedly being reimbursed by the city.
