Staff Change at U-T Tyler

TYLER – The new director of student services at The University of Texas at Tyler is Kim Harvey-Livingston. The announcement was made yesterday by the assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of students, Ona Tolliver.
As director, Harvey-Livingston oversees the university’s counseling, testing and disability services offices. She previously served as interim director and has been a counselor at UT Tyler since 1998, working specifically with the wellness and prevention education services and Campus Assault Response Effort program. “Kim’s comprehensive experience with the East Texas Mental Health Associates, Andrews Center and the Smith County Sexual Assault Response Team have been and will continue to be a great benefit to our campus community,” Tolliver said.
Before serving UT Tyler, Harvey-Livingston was non-resident services director for the Women’s Center of East Texas in Longview. Harvey-Livingston holds a bachelor of arts in psychology and a master of science in clinical psychology, both from UT Tyler.
She also is a BACCHUS Network Area 6 consultant and serves on the Mothers Against Drunk Driving East Texas Regional Operations Council. Memberships include Texas Counseling Association and Piney Woods Counseling Association.
