New Rose Queen Surprised

TYLER — The new queen of the Texas Rose Festival wasn’t expecting the good news. Haley Anderson says, “I wasn’t thinking anything this big, I mean, it was a shock.” Haley was introduced over the weekend. She’s an All Saints High School graduate and a freshman at the University of Alabama. Haley says she’s especially looking forward to meeting the out-of-town duchesses, because “I think we can take this opportunity to make some new friends.” She adds, “I’m excited to represent Tyler in a good way.” This year’s festival is October 18-21.
