Mother Accused of Hurting Daughter

LONGVIEW – A Longview mother has been arrested and charged with injury to a child. In the Gregg County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond is Cynthia Cecilia Gonzalez, 26. Her daughter, Aura Delgado, 2, is at Children’s Medical Hospital in Dallas. Investigators say the little girl suffered bruising to her right eyelid and on the right side of her chest, two absent front teeth, one loose tooth and a gum line laceration, along with a bone fracture underneath her skull and bleeding on the surface of her brain. Police spokeswoman Kristie Brian described the youngster’s injuries as life threatening. The woman’s four other children have been placed in foster care.
