LONGVIEW – A Longview animal control officer has sustained minor injuries by at least two pit bull dogs. The incident occurred shortly before 1:15 Friday afternoon in the
2300 block of South 12th Street.
Police say animal control officer Jacqueline Lynch was trying to take a loose pit bull dog into custody when another pit bull dog jumped a backyard fence and attacked her. She was able to escape the dogs by going into a neighbor’s home.
Officials will try and determine which dog bit Lynch, and then that dog or dogs will be quarantined for 10 days. The dogs have been taken to the Humane Society of Northeast Texas
