Second Sexual Assault Suspect in Custody

WOOD COUNTY — The second suspect in a Wood County sexual assault of a child is in custody. David Lee Bowman, 25, was apprehended Thursday by the United State’s Marshal’s Office and is in the Crosby County Jail, according to a Wood County sheriff’s press release. Bowman and 24-year-old Roni Curry are charged with continuous sexual assault of a child younger than the age of 14 in Wood County. U.S. Marshal Service found Bowman had been hiding in Ralls, the release said. Curry turned herself in Wednesday to officials. She is being held in the Wood County Jail on $200,000 bond.
