LONGVIEW – The Longview ISD reported that Monday night’s board meeting played host to the approval the “Trent Williams Multipurpose Indoor Facility.” The building’s construction at Longview High School is part of their 2024 Bond package. According to a social media post from the district, Williams’ parents were present at the meeting and witnessed the public’s applause as the school board passed the motion.

Williams has had one of the most successful careers of any offensive lineman in professional football since graduating from LHS in 2006. He has won numerous Pro Bowl and All-Pro awards and is now considered one of the best offensive tackles in NFL history. He even started the free Silverback Football Camp at LHS back in 2013 as a way to give back to Longview.
