FAA: No injuries reported in plane crash
Posted/updated on: July 25, 2026 at 9:03 amWILLS POINT – The Federal Aviation Administration said that a plane crash in Wills Point on Thursday afternoon resulted in no injuries. Around 12:50 p.m., a Glasair plane ground looped and came to a stop east of the runway, causing significant damage, according to preliminary FAA data. The landing gear, tail, and empennage were all damaged in the collision. Wills Point Volunteer Fire Department Chief Ed Leipply said the plane remained upright in the crash, but sustained damage, including to its propeller and elevator.
