Salvation Army opens cooling station

TYLER– The Salvation Army of Tyler has activated a cooling station, offering residents a refuge from soaring temperatures and a forecast of triple-digit heat across East Texas, according to our news partner, KETK.
The station, located on 633 North Broadway Avenue, provides a place for individuals to cool off and re-hydrate. The facility is open to the public and available to anyone seeking to escape the heat and drink water. The Salvation Army has initiated this service in direct response to the triple-digit temperatures beginning to appear in East Texas and encourages anyone who needs a break from the heat to utilize the facility.
