Two arrested after robbery

TYLER – According to court documents and records, two of the three men accused of robbing a vape shop at gunpoint and stealing roughly $45,000 in merchandise have been taken into custody. In relation to a reported robbery at Tyler Smoke Shop on Gentry Parkway in June, Isaiah Howard, 24, and Tiylor Green, 24, are charged with several offenses, including aggravated robbery, unlawful restraint, and interference with an emergency request for assistance. On June 8, Howard was taken into custody in Mesquite and placed under bail totaling more than $2.6 million at the Dallas County Jail. Green was taken into custody and placed under a $770,000 bond at the Gregg County Jail.

Employees at the store reported that on June 5, three men robbed them at gunpoint, took a woman’s phone so she could call 911, and stole a large quantity of goods and money, according to an arrest affidavit. According to the affidavit, the men took an iPhone 17, $3,000 in cash, $12,000 worth of THCA flower, $10,000 worth of pre-rolls, $700 worth of cigars and cigarillos, and $15,000 worth of kratom. According to one victim, the entire loss was $45,000.

The license plate of the truck that the suspects used to escape the scene was recorded by a camera at the establishment. Police were informed by one of the victims that a regular customer and two other men had entered the store and were holding him at gunpoint. Approximately $3,000 was allegedly taken from the cash register by the suspect. He was joined by another suspect, and the two started packing goods into a big garbage bag.
