Lufkin House Fire

LUFKIN – A Lufkin home has been damaged by fire. The fire around 8:30 Christmas night caused considerable heat and smoke damage to the house in the 200block of April Street. No injuries were reported. Capt. Brad Gallaway of the Lufkin Fire Department told the Lufkin Daily News, β€œThe occupants of the home turned the furnace on and the attic started filling up (with smoke).” When firemen arrived, the fire was in the attic. It took them just over half an hour to bring the blaze under control.
