Power Restored to a Portion of South Tyler

TYLER – A squirrel is responsible for a power outage in south Tyler. Up to a thousand customers lost power Christmas day. A power transformer was blown near the intersection of Loop 323 and Richmond Road. An ONCOR spokesman says a squirrel caused a capacitor bank to explode. The power was restored about and hour and a half later.
