New Tyler utility pay system

TYLER – The push to modernize the Water Business Office came from our customers. Over the past several years, utility customers have asked for more payment options, better account information, and tools that make managing utility accounts easier. On Wednesday, June 24, the City of Tyler took another step toward those goals when the new utility payment system went live. 

The new payment provider, Invoice Cloud, introduces several expanded features designed to give people more flexibility in how they pay and manage their accounts. 

Anyone currently enrolled in autopay will need to re-enroll in the new system.

All customers are encouraged to create an online profile at MyTylerUtilities.com to explore the various ways to pay their utility bill. 

New features include:  Email and text reminders with quick-pay links. Pay-by-text options. Apple Pay and Google Pay. Tap-to-pay at the Water Business Office. Enhanced pay-by-phone features. Business profiles for customers who manage multiple properties. And, online payments for meters and front taps 

The City will continue covering transaction fees for digital payment methods, allowing customers to take advantage of the added convenience without incurring additional costs.
