Harrison County burn ban

Harrison County Judge Chad Sims has announced a burn ban for the county. Due to current dry conditions and increased fire risk, Harrison County is implementing a burn ban starting today, February 24, 2026. All outdoor burning is prohibited, including brush piles, trash burning, and campfires. This ban applies to all areas within Harrison County. The cities of Hallsville, Marshall and Waskom are also implementing a burn ban.
Why this is important: The burn ban is necessary to protect lives, property, and natural resources during this period of heightened fire danger.
Compliance: Violating the burn ban may result in fines and other penalties. Please help keep our community safe by adhering to these restrictions.
