TYLER – Texas Comptroller candidate Michael Lange stopped in Tyler on Friday to discuss the importance of financial transparency and economic fairness for Texas families.
According to our news partner KETK, Lange said on Friday, “It’s not easy making a living these days, matter of fact, it’s getting harder. A lot of people are worried about their money. A lot of people worried about affordability. What if I told you the comptroller could affect all of that? Think about it, comptroller is your money, it’s how you spend money but also the controller can do things like influence new job creation.”
Lange is running in the March 2026 Democratic Primary to be the Democratic Party’s candidate for Texas Comptroller this year. As a 40-year business and finance professional, Lange has worked for small, medium and multi-billion dollar businesses in Texas and around the world.
Lange has called for a “fair, transparent, and future-ready” tax system, waste elimination and the creation of more jobs, healthcare, schools, infrastructure and water connectivity systems.
If Lange beats fellow Democratic Primary candidates Sarah Eckhardt and Savant Moore in March, he’ll face the winner of the March Republican Primary, which would be either incumbent Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock, Michael Berlanga, Christi Craddick or Donald Huffines.
