Two arrests made in Tatum after car searchTATUM – Following a search that revealed drugs, including more than 60 grams of meth, two individuals were taken into custody in Tatum on Tuesday. A Ford Escape SUV with a damaged windshield was seen traveling south on North Hill Street when an officer made a traffic stop, according to the Tatum Police Department and our news partner KETK. A probable cause search was conducted after the officer reported smelling a strong marijuana odor coming from the vehicle during the traffic stop.

The following substances were allegedly discovered by the officer during the car search:
230.5 ounces of Alprazolam
1.7 grams of cannabis
69.8 grams of meth
21.7 grams of an unidentified pink material
During the search, the officer also discovered bolt cutters, copper wire, and tools—all of which are commonly connected to copper theft. The vehicle also contained a loaded .38 special revolver. Georgelee Holt and Vincent Friemel, the car’s driver and passenger, were arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges.
