Four arrested in two drug bustsATHENS — Four individuals were arrested for drug related charges following two traffic stops by Henderson County K-9 Deputies and narcotics investigators on Monday night. According to our news partner KETK, Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on East Tyler Street in Athens at approximately early Monday evening.The driver was identified as 65-year-old Herman Lindon Rogers Jr., and the passenger as 49-yearold Jerroid Dustin Miller.

During the search, Miller attempted to hide a black bag inside the front passenger wheel well cover. K-9 deputies discovered the bag which contained multiple pre-packaged plastic bags of suspected methamphetamine and digital scales which are used in narcotic distribution. Suspected Xanax were also located inside the vehicle, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said. Rogers and Miller were taken into custody and charged each with possession of controlled substance with $5,000 bonds in Henderson County Jail.

Later that night, at approximately around 8 p.m., deputies and investigators conducted another traffic stop on Farm to Market Road 59 in the rural Athens area leading to the arrests of driver Ryan Bennie Brown, 43, and passenger 34-year-old Stevie Dawn Seidel. Investigators found that prior to the stop, a large plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine was thrown out of the vehicle and onto the roadway. K-9 deputies located the plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine on the side of the roadway a few hundred feet away from the initial traffic stop, the sheriff’s office said.

Brown and Seidel were then taken into custody and charged each with manufacture or delivery of controlled substance and tampering or fabrication of physical evidence and are each under a $125,000 bond in Henderson County jail.
