Tyler man arrested in Florida on child sex charges

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, FLA – U.S. Marshals apprehended 42-year-old Christopher Lynn Bowles in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, early Friday. According to our news partner KETK, Bowles was arrested for sexual assault of a child and continuous sexual assault of a child under 14 years old. Bowles was wanted by the Smith County Sheriff’s Office for the same charges. Investigators learned that Bowles had been staying in DeFuniak Springs with his current girlfriend. He was arrested without incident at her home. Authorities said he will be extradited back to Texas to face the charges against him.
