Mesquite Woman Sentenced for Federal Crimes

TYLER — A 39-year-old Mesquite, Texas woman has been sentenced for federal violations in East Texas. Stacie Yancey Taylor pleaded guilty on July 8, 2011, to Conspiracy to Commit Access Device Fraud, and was sentenced Tuesday during a hearing before U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis to 30 months in federal prison.
According to information presented in court, between December, 2010, and December, 2011, Taylor allegedly used fraudulent credit card numbers in an attempt to purchase gift cards and other merchandise from various retailers. A 4-count federal indictment was returned on March 2, 2011.
