Lanes Cleared after Semi Truck Wrecks

SMITH COUNTY — Smith County fire officials say a wreck has been cleared in the western part of the county. Earlier, an 18-wheeler was blocking FM 2661, between Hwy. 31 West and Highway 64. Officials say the rig was jack-knifed about a half mile off 31. Officials on scene tell KETK the trailer separated from the cab of the 18-wheeler, when the driver was attempting to turn around on FM 2661. The driver of the truck has been taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
