Rapper Finesse2tymes arrested in Smith County

Our news partners at KETK report that American rapper Ricky Hampton, known as Finesse2tymes, was arrested on Friday evening along with Halie Buckingham following a concert performed in Smith County after illegal drugs were allegedly found inside their vehicle. According to an arrest affidavit, Hampton was seen driving a red Corvette and was pulled over by officials for not wearing a seatbelt while turning onto Claude Street in Tyler. During the stop, officers reported smelling marijuana and spotted a hand-rolled paper cigar in the ashtray.
Additionally, while searching the vehicle, Buckingham was seen grabbing a bag from the passenger floorboard, prompting officers to search the bag.
During that search, investigators found:
0.7 ounces of marijuana
12 oxycodone pills
7 methylphenidate pills
Following the search of the vehicle, Hampton and Buckingham were taken to the Smith County Jail.

Hampton was charged with possession of marijuana. Meanwhile, Buckingham was charged with two counts of possession with a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Both were released on bond Sept. 20 at around 4:50 a.m.
