The suspect, who was captured on surveillance footage, has been identified as 23-year-old Jayden Duane Hopson.

Due to his criminal history, including charges of murder and aggravated robbery, the Cherokee County Regional Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team was activated.

During the search, officers located and took into custody the stolen firearm. The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
