Two injured in Tyler overnight club shootingsSMITH COUNTY — Smith County officials have confirmed that two people were injured in shootings that happened near clubs in Tyler on Saturday morning.

According to our news partner KETK, deputies responded to a disturbance at Club Exotic located in the 11800 block of Highway 64 West due to a large group fighting that was reported at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. While responding to the scene, the sheriffs’ office said gunshots were reported in the same area. Once deputies arrived at the scene, the crowd dispersed. A man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to the sheriff’s office. At 4:30 a.m., a 16-year-old who had been shot while at the Jungle Club parking lot in the 12500 block of Highway 31 West was taken to a hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to her leg.

Officials believe suspects in the Jungle Club shooting fired shots into the crowd from a black Ford Mustang.

The Smith County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the shootings to call them at 903-566-6600.
