Fourth of July festivities happening in East Texas 2025

TYLER — As East Texas cities gear up for a star-spangled celebration this Fourth of July, our news partner KETK has put together a list of festive events happening in towns such as Canton, Longview, Lufkin and Tyler.
Big Sandy
America the Beautiful Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks Show: The parade lineup begins at 8 p.m. on Wiley Boulevard, with the parade starting around 8:30 p.m. Following the parade, the fireworks show will start at approximately 9 p.m.
Date: July 4 at 8 p.m.
Bullard
Blast over Bullard and Kids’ Bike Brigade: This event will feature activities for all ages, including games, local vendors, food, and live music. Don’t miss the Kids’ Bike Brigade, coordinated by the Bullard Police Department during the Blast Over Bullard event.
Date: June 28 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Canton
Lakeside Baptist Church will host 4th of July at the Cross, an annual event with fellowship, food, and Canton’s fireworks display.
Date: July 4 at 7 p.m
Fourth of July Celebration in Canton: “The highlight of the day, our annual 4th of July Parade, begins at 10:30 am. The parade route starts at the First Baptist Church of Canton, turns east on Hwy. 64 towards downtown, and then turns south onto Buffalo St., concluding at Canton Junior High. Enjoy your 4th of July day at First Monday Trade Days and then come out for to the West Gate at First Monday for a Car Show, Live Music and we will wrap it all up with a fireworks show happening after dark.”

Kilgore
Fourth of July Extravaganza: Join the City of Kilgore for its legendary Fireworks Extravaganza, featuring a performance by The Jukebox Heroes. The event is expected to begin at 9:15 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
Date: July 4 at 6 p.m.
Longview
Fireworks and Freedom Celebration at the Longview Convention Complex: Attend the Fireworks and Freedom Celebration at the Longview Convention Complex. Join them for the biggest fireworks show in East Texas, with live music and family fun. The event starts at 6 p.m., with fireworks set to begin at 9:30 p.m.

Lufkin
City of Lufkin’s July 4th Celebration: The City of Lufkin invites people to its July 4th Celebration, a free, family-friendly event packed with excitement and entertainment, showcasing East Texas pride! Enjoy live concert entertainment, balloon art by Dr. Rainbow, a foam party, local vendors, food trucks, and games.
Date: July 4, 5 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.
Mineola
Mineola’s 4th of July Fireworks Show and Celebration: Celebrate Independence Day in Mineola with food, fun, family, and a fireworks show that lights up the East Texas sky! Bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and patriotic spirit for an unforgettable night of community celebration.
Date: July 4 at 8 p.m.
Tyler
Tyler Parks and Rec at Lindsey Park: Join Tyler Parks and Recreation at Lindsey Park for a fun-filled day featuring food trucks, music, games, and, of course, a fireworks show!
Date: July 4 at 3 p.m.
Whitehouse
Fourth of July Golf Cart Parade: Lakeside Grill at Lake Tyler Marina will host a Fourth of July Golf Cart Parade with the theme “The Stars and Stripes.” Line-up starts at 11 a.m., and the parade will depart at noon.
Date: July 5 at 11 a.m.
