Lufkin officers arrived at the home after receiving a call at 10 p.m. from a witness who claimed that Flint Thompson, 46, had locked his family members inside a room and would not let them out, according to the police department.

Once at the home, patrol officers called for members of the SWAT team and crisis negotiators to help remove the family from the home. Eventually, officials stated, the family was removed except for Thompson.
