Lufkin House Fire Sparked by Lightning

LUFKIN – A Lufkin home has been destroyed by fire. The blaze was reported around 5:45 Sunday morning in Lufkin’s Crown Colony subdivision. No injuries were reported. Authorities say, while it is apparent the lightning strike is to blame, the Lufkin Fire Department will do a routine investigation before declaring an official cause.
