This partnership represents a significant investment in Tyler’s future as a key retail destination between Dallas and Shreveport. As part of the agreement, Bass Pro Outdoor World will receive a sales tax rebate, provided they meet the following performance criteria: $22 million in sales during their first year and 2% growth in sales annually for seven years. Adding to this strategic partnership, Bass Pro, a leading national retailer of outdoor gear and apparel with over 200 retail stores and Tracker Marine Boating Centers across North America, plans to invest approximately $13 million of capital to expand its current operations into Tyler, Texas. The project must create 90 new permanent jobs with an average salary of $45,000, further emphasizing the economic benefits this partnership will bring to the community.

This strategic partnership solidifies Tyler’s position as a premier retail destination in the region and underscores the City Council’s commitment to leveraging commercial opportunities to enhance community infrastructure.
