SWEPCO releases estimated power restoration timesTYLER — According to our news Partner KETK, SWEPCO released estimated restoration times as they work to restore power to East Texas cities affected by severe damage from Beryl. The electric company said as of 7 p.m., power has been restored to nearly 36,000 customers so far. You can find the SWEPCO estimated restoration times for areas impacted by the storm here. Based on the number of outages and crews available, SWEPCO was able to develop a Global Estimated Time of Restoration that estimates how long it will take to restore 95% of all customers affected. The company said the estimated times could change based on the complexity of repairs.

SWEPCO said they deployed nearly 700 workers to address locations that needed repairs across the 14,000 square mile area. Their storm response team includes utility professionals as part of Mutual Assistance from outside SWEPCO’s service territory.

At it’s peek, SWEPCO said on Monday at 11 p.m. nearly 49,000 customers had power disrupted due to Beryl. The region also experienced a record-breaking 67 tornado warnings as noted by the National Weather Service.
