Five-year-old drowns in Lake Palestine

HENDERSON COUNTY – According to Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse, and our news partners at KETK, a 5-year-old child wandered into Lake Palestine and drowned on Saturday afternoon. According to the sheriff, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department, game wardens and the Crimes Against Children Task Force responded to a call of a missing 5-year-old child in the Parkside Shores subdivision. Hillhouse said that officials discovered that the child had wandered into Lake Palestine and drowned. Authorities said that the incident is still under investigation by game wardens and the Crimes Against Children Task Force.
