Rose City Christmas Parade canceled
Posted/updated on: November 29, 2023 at 4:17 pmTYLER — The Rose City Christmas Parade, scheduled for Thursday, November 30, has been canceled due to potential severe weather. The announcement was issued by the parade committee on Monday.
“Rose City Christmas Parade Registered Participants,
Thank you to all of our Rose City Christmas Parade participants for your patience and grace as we navigated this weather event and decision. With hugely heavy hearts, and in the best interest and safety of the participants and spectators, due to the adverse weather conditions predicted, the Rotary Clubs of Tyler along with the City of Tyler officials have made the difficult decision to cancel the Rose City 2023 Christmas Parade scheduled for November 30, 2023. Our primary goal is to have our participants and spectators enjoy the parade safely. The decision was not an easy one. Each of you has planned and prepared for a spectacular evening. We are as disappointed as you are after many months of planning for a celebratory event Mother Nature had other plans. Postponement to another date was not an option due to several scheduling conflicts. The Rose City Christmas Parade will be held December 5, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. All registered participants for the 2023 Rose City Christmas Parade will be placed in the 2024 Rose City Christmas Parade. Once again thank you for your grace and understanding to keep you and our spectator community safe.
In Rotary Service,
Rose City Christmas Parade Executive Committee”
