Police respond to man with gun outside Super 1 in Tyler

TYLER — Tyler Police responded to multiple reports of a male walking around waving a firearm in the air and yelling outside of Super 1 Foods and Academy on South Broadway Avenue around 7:20 p.m. Thursday. According to our news partner KETK and Tyler Police Department Public Information Officer Andy Erbaugh, when officers arrived and approached the man, he turned the gun on himself. Tyler Fire and UT EMS were then dispatched to the scene. The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
