Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitives Captured in East TexasEAST TEXAS — Two of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted offenders are back in custody following their arrests in Mabank and Tyler last month. Santos Ramirez, 47, was captured on March 16 in Mabank. Ramirez had been wanted since April 5, 2022, after the Midland County Sheriff’s Office issued warrant for his arrest for continuous sexual abuse of a child, continuous violence against the family, stalking, two counts of violation of bond/protective order, interference with emergency request for assistance, and failure to identify. His arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward was paid.

Ramirez was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Office of Inspector General, Texas Attorney General’s Office, Smith County Sheriff’s Office and Tyler Police Department in Mabank. DPS Troopers and Henderson County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the multi-agency fugitive investigation.

Derwin Bernard Arline, 34, was arrested by DPS Special Agents, the Smith County Sheriff’s Office and members of the U.S. Marshals Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force March 30 in Tyler. Arline had been wanted since June 2022, when the Panola County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest for aggravated sexual assault of a child. In February 2023, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office issued warrants for Arline’s arrest for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.
