Five Vehicle Wreck Kills One

TYLER – One person has been killed and two injured in a five vehicle accident in Smith County. It happened shortly after 8:45 Friday night on State Highway 110, about three miles north of Tyler. Killed was Muelen Lee Follis Jr., 39, of Brownsboro. Listed in fair condition at East Texas Medical Center are Gregory Taylor and Barbara Jean Brown, both of Tyler. According to the Department of Public Safety, Follis was southbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle. When he saw oncoming traffic he over corrected and hit the oncoming traffic, left the road and hit a fence.
