Texting while Driving Still Permitted in Kilgore

KILGORE — Kilgore’s City Council votes down a controversial bill. According to KETK, it is still legal to text and drive there. The council voted Tuesday night not to place a ban on texting while driving in the city. Officials discussed a similar proposal earlier this year, but they wanted to see if the Texas Legislature would pass a statewide ban instead.
