Fire in Flint Destroys Home

FLINT — A Smith County family loses its home to a fire. The Bullard fire department and Flint volunteer firefighters say flames were shooting through the roof when they arrived on the scene of the blaze in the 200 block of Cass Circle. Officials say the fire started on the back porch Monday morning, but they are unsure of the exact cause. The fire marshal is investigating and said the house was a total loss.
