Roberts voices “strong suspicion” that omicron has arrived in East Texas

TYLER — Last week, NET Health’s George Roberts said the COVID omicron variant may be in the East Texas area. Now he strongly suspects it has arrived, though there are still no confirmed cases. Meantime, with Christmas approaching, you have through Wednesday at 4:30 to get your COVID shot at Tyler’s Majesty Event Center — and Roberts says a number of other facilities continue to offer the vaccine. Roberts continues to urge vaccinations and extra care during the holiday season, with seasonal gatherings planned by many. He again advises you to stay home if you’re sick.
