Roberts: officials continue to monitor omicron variant

TYLER — NET Health’s George Roberts says there’s still no confirmation, but he and his colleagues have reason to believe the COVID-19 omicron variant may already be transmitting around East Texas. Roberts says thus far, omicron appears to be more contagious than previous variants but the symptoms seem less severe.
