Wood County Assault Suspect Turns Self In

QUITMAN — Wood County Sheriff’s Officials say that Benjamin “Bennie” Edward George turned himself in to authorities just before 3:45 Friday morning. George was wanted for the reported rape of a 62-year-old Mineola woman. The assault occurred early Wednesday morning at a home on County Road 2270.
