Officials: Longview improves open records request process

LONGVIEW — The City of Longview is improving transparency by making public records more easily accessible, according to local officials. Requestors of public information will now have the option of submitting open records requests through an online form. The City of Longview averages more than 200 open records request monthly, according to a news release. The new online form is powered by JustFOIA, which officials term an information request software designed to empower organizations to better streamline, manage, and track public records requests.
