Voter registration deadline is October 4

TYLER — The Smith County Elections Office is reminding residents that Monday, October 4, is the deadline to register to vote to be able to cast a ballot in the November 2 election. According to a news release, six sites around the county helped 61 people register on National Voter Registration Day this past Tuesday. There are 148,258 registered voters in Smith County. That’s up about 2,000 residents from 2020, and up about 10,000 people from 2019. Click here for more details.
