Boil water notice in Whitehouse

WHITEHOUSE — The city of Whitehouse has issued a boil water notice for homes located on Karla Drive, Cheryl Street, Merri Lane, Candice Drive, Candice Court, South Rainbow Drive, and the 900-1400 blocks of East Main due to a drop in water pressure caused when a contractor damaged the water system while working in the area. Officials say city crews responded immediately to close valves and restore service to as many homes as possible. As of late Friday afternoon, some homes remained without service. Outside contractors had arrived to help city crews repair damage to the water system. Once repairs have been made and service has been restored, water customers in this area are expected to remain under the boil notice until Tuesday.
