Rose announces candidacy for County Court at Law #3

TYLER — Smith County felony prosecutor Trevor M. Rose Friday announced his intention to file as a Republican candidate for judge of Smith County Court at Law #3 in the 2022 Primary. In a news release, Rose cites what he terms his energy, dedication, and relevant trial experience in criminal, civil, and family law. Rose said he hopes to fill the need for “a more user-friendly and efficient court that will be ready to hear criminal, civil, and family law cases from day one.†Thus far, Rose’s GOP opponents are local attorneys Clay White, Cheryl Wulf, and Sara Maynard. Current County Court at Law #3 Judge Floyd Getz will be retiring following his current term.
