Tyler ISD releases Return to School 2021 plan

TYLER – Tyler ISD is releasing its Return to School 2021 plan, detailing the district’s health and safety protocols for in-school learning. According to a news release, Tyler ISD completed the 2020-2021 school year approximately 99% in-person. Last May, the TISD trustees approved making face coverings optional for students and staff. This protocol will remain in effect this school year as well. Protocols removed from the plan include Learn@Home procedures since all students are expected to attend in person. “It remains the District’s belief that face-to-face instruction is the best method for a child’s learning and social-emotional growth,” Superintendent Dr. Marty Crawford said as quoted in the release.
