Deputy Resigns after Weekend Arrest

SMITH COUNTY — A Smith County Sheriff’s Deputy that was arrested over the weekend for DWI has resigned. Officials say Albert Lee Hill, 47, was found passed out in his vehicle at the intersection of Sunnybrook and Old Jacksonville Friday night. Hill was released from the Smith County Jail on a $500 bond.
