The media – all of the national media including Fox News – is referring to Joe Biden as the president-elect. The Real Clear Politics Electoral College map shows Biden with 306 electoral votes to Donald Trump’s 232.
At this point in any other election the winner would have already met with the outgoing president at the White House, a transition team would be working in government-provided offices in Washington, D.C. and the country would be looking forward to a new administration.
But the Trump campaign hasn’t yet conceded the race and there is no official transition underway.
An honest observer could reasonably say that this election has a cloud hanging over it. Hastily designed mail-in voting programs in many states have raised eyebrows. Votes from people who have died or have moved away have also raised red flags. But the real controversy that the Trump campaign seems to be focusing on surrounds Dominion Voting Systems, a commercial voting machine vendor that the State of Texas refused to certify, but that is used in at least 24 states.
Late in the evening on election night, it looked as if President Trump was on his way to reelection. Then, the Trump campaign alleges, after a pause in vote counting in up to six swing states, the vote total lead that Trump had run up abruptly began to dissipate until it completely disappeared.
Though election officials in all of the six battleground states dispute the claim, the Trump campaign nevertheless alleges that there was massive election fraud.
But so far, the campaign has produced no hard evidence.
Noted appellate attorney Sidney Powell says that that is about to change. She says that the campaign has the goods on Dominion.
Said Ms. Powell on Lou Dobbs Tonight on the Fox Business Network last Friday:
Well, I can hardly wait to put forth all the evidence we have collected on Dominion – starting with the fact that it was created to produce altered voting results in Venezuela for Hugo Chavez. And then shipped internationally to manipulate votes for purchase in other countries, including this one. It was funded by money from Venezuela and Cuba and China has a role in it also. So if you want to talk about foreign election interference, we certainly have it now.”
On Sunday on FBN’s Sunday Morning Futures show with Maria Bartiromo Powell went on to say:
They can stick a thumb drive in the machine or upload software to it – even from the internet. They can do it from Germany or Venezuela even. They can remote access anything. They can watch votes in real time. They can shift votes in real time. We’ve identified mathematically the exact algorithm they used and planned to use from the beginning to modify the votes in this case to make sure Biden won.”
These are disturbing allegations. But so far at least, they have not yet been put forth in a way that rises to evidence. And the clock ticks down to Monday, December 14 – the day that Electoral College votes must be cast.
