Former congressman Rick Lazio knows about running against Hillary.

Rick Lazio served four terms in the U.S. House from New York’s 2nd Congressional District. In 2000, he ran against Hillary Clinton in her first senate election, stepping in late for former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani, who withdrew to undergo treatment for prostate cancer.

Lazio started the campaign 20 points down and wound up losing by 12. In this interview, he cautions the Trump campaign that the Clintons are seasoned political professionals.
