Counties Rescinding Burn Bans

EAST TEXAS — In the wake of last week’s rain, Smith and Gregg County officials have lifted their bans on outdoor burning. But according to KETK, county leaders advise you to continue using caution when conducting outdoor burning. They remind you never to leave a fire unattended and always have good means of extinguishing the fire if the need arises. Residents who live inside city limits should check to see if they are still under a burn ban before conducting outdoor burning.
